Miroslav Kultyshev (Piano)

Miroslav Kultyshev was born in Leningrad in 1985. He graduated from the Specialised Middle School of Music of the St Petersburg State Conservatoire (class of Z. M. Zuker) and from the St Petersburg Conservatoire itself, where he also completed a postgraduate study (class of A. M. Sandler). 
In 2007 he won the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition, while in 2012 he won the Monte Carlo Piano Mastersinternational competition (Monaco). He began to appear in concerts at the age of six. At the age of ten he made his debut at the Great Hall of the St Petersburg Philharmonic, performing Mozart’s Concerto in D Minor under Yuri Temirkanov. 
In 1998 he was a prize-winner at the Moscow Heinrich Neuhaus International Young Pianists’ Festival (1998). 


Miroslav Kultyshev has been invited on numerous occasions to take part in such international festivals as Kissinger Sommer(Germany) and Elba isola musicale d’Europa (Italy). He has also appeared at the Stars of the White Nights, the Mariinsky’s International Piano Festival, International Conservatoire WeekMusical Kremlin and festivals in Salzburg (Austria), the Ruhr (Germany), Duszniki (Poland), La Roque d’Anthéron (France) and Mikkeli (Finland). 


Miroslav Kultyshev performs at the great halls of St Petersburg and Moscow as well as such internationally acclaimed venues as the Musikverein (Vienna), the Mozarteum (Salzburg), the Lincoln Center (New York), Suntory Hall (Tokyo), the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Wigmore Hall (London) and the Salle Gaveau (Paris). 
The young pianist works with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vassily Sinaisky, Mark Gorenstein, Vasily Petrenko, Ion Marin, Nikolai Alexeyev and Alexander Dmitriev. 
Has toured throughout the world.
