(2005). Recipient of the 1st prize and Intonation award from the St
Petersburg House of Music at the V International Yevgeny Mravinsky Youth
Competition (St Petersburg, 2006). Prize-winner at the IV International Wind
Instrument Performers’ Competition (New York, 2007). Recipient of the 2nd
prize at the Russo-German Woodwind Instrument Performers’ Competition of the
Gartow Stiftung (2011).
Nikita Lyutikov was born in St Petersburg in
a musical family. Since 2009 he has been a student at the St Petersburg
State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Professor Andrei Kazakov). In
2005 he received the Yuri Temirkanov Prize as well as a Young Talents grant from
the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinema, while in 2010 he received a grant
from the St Petersburg House of Music and Bank Rossiya. Works with the St
Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Honoured Ensemble of Russia, the St
Petersburg State Capella Symphony Orchestra, the St Petersburg State Academic
Symphony Orchestra, the Yale Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Wind Ensemble.
Has appeared under such conductors as Alexander Titov, Grigory Uglov,
Anatoly Rybalko, Arkady Steinlucht, Alim Shakh, Vasily Sinaisky and Kim Yang.
Has performed at the Arts Square festival with the St Petersburg
Philharmonic Orchestra under Yuri Temirkanov. Has appeared in festivals run
by the Musical Olympus foundation and the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation as well
as concert tours of Switzerland and Germany and recitals at Carnegie Hall, the
St Petersburg Capella and the St Petersburg Philharmonic. Since 2008 he has
appeared in the St Petersburg House of Music’s programmes Musical Team of
Russia, River of Talents, Music of the Stars (Kislovodsk, St Petersburg),
Russian Thursdays (Stockholm), Russian Tuesdays (Linz) and Young Talents of
Russia (Lithuania).
