Olga Tolkmit (Soprano)
Olga Tolkmit was born in Kingisepp, the Leningrad region, graduated from the
M. Mussorgsky Saint-Petersburg Musical College (the Department of Folk Singing)
and the N. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory (training course
of Associate Professor N. Drozdova-Wainer). She is a diploma winner of the Elena
Obraztsova 8th International Competition of Opera Singers.
Since 2010 Olga has been a soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theatre, where among
others she played the parts of Prilepa (“The Queen of Spades” by P.
Tchaikovsky), Iolanta (“Iolanta” by P. Tchaikovsky), Mimi and Musetta (“La
bohème” by G. Puccini), Tatiana (“Eugene Onegin” by P. Tchaikovsky). In 2012 she
was nominated for “The Golden Mask” National Theatre Award for her role of Mimi
in play “La bohème” of the Mikhailovsky Theatre. Since 2013 Olga has been
collaborating with the Mikhailovsky Theatre as a guest soloist. At the Bard
Summer Scape Festival (USA, 2013) Olga Tolkmit sang the part of Electra in opera
“Oresteia” by S. Taneyev (Director — Thaddeus Strassberger, Conductor — Leon
Botstein). She has been a soloist of Helikon-Opera since 2015.
