For the first time in St. Petersburg, within the framework of the Festival, one of the most sought-after pianists of the new generation, Emmet Cohen and his trio, will perform. Downbeat, the world's leading jazz magazine, praised the "filigree playing style, impeccable swing feeling, and a vast palette of harmonic expression" combined with "a unique sense of humor and personality" that Emmett uses to communicate musically with stage partners and audiences. The Emmett Trio has become a real online sensation in 2020 - their quarantine weekly online sets have garnered hundreds of thousands of views.
The outstanding American singer, guitarist and composer Allan Harris and his band will also perform at the festival. For the past 20 years, Allan has maintained a reputation as one of the finest vocalists of his era, with over a dozen albums covering a wide range of different genres of jazz music. He is known to the general public for his unique voice and original interpretations of jazz standards.
