Igor Tomashevsky (Conductor’s Assistant) Born in Leningrad in 1986. He graduated finished the special secondary school under the jurisdiction of the St Petersburg State Conservatory as a pianist and a composer. In 2009, he graduated from the St Petersburg State Conservatory named after Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov as a composer (class of professor A. Mnatsakanian) and in 2012 as an opera and symphonic conductor (class of professor E.Serov).
Igor Tomashevsky performed with different Russian orchestras, including the Volgograd Academic Symphonic Orchestra, the Kostroma Governor’s Symphonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of the Novgorod Region Philharmonics.
Since 2011 he has been a professor at the State Pedagogical University named after Alexander Herzen.
Since 2013 he has been a guest conductor of the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
