Anna Nikulina (Dancer)

Born in Moscow. In 2002, she completed her training at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (teacher Elena Vatulya) with distinction and joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company. She rehearsed under Ekaterina Maximova, Nina Semizorova, Lyudmila Semenyaka.
Today her teacher-repetiteur is Olga Chenchikova.
In 2004, at the age of 19, she danced Odette-Odile for the first time.

She took part in the Bolshoi Theatre Studio of New Choreography workshop, dancing Aurora in Riccardo Drigo’s Rosary Pas de quatre from the ballet The Awakening of Flora (choreography by M. Petipa, reconstructed by Y. Burlaka) and the Carpets Pas de quatre from C. Pugni’s The Humpbacked Horse (choreography by A. Gorsky, reconstructed by Y. Burlaka; 2004), and likewise — with Denis Savin — she appeared in the number Acquisition to music by S. Rachmaninov, produced by Y.Klevtsov (2006).

In 2007, she appeared in the ballet Old Ladies Falling Out to music by L. Desyatnikov (choreography by A. Ratmansky), which was shown first at the Territory Festival, and then under the auspices of the Studio of New Choreography workshop.

2011 – Odette/Odile in Swan Lake with the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre (Kazan) within the Nureyev Ballet Festival (Alexei Stoyanov as Prince Siegfried).

2014 – Nikia in La Bayadere (G. Komleva’s version) with the company of the Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre within the Alla Shelest Festival of Classical Ballet (Vladimir Shklyarov as Solor).

2015 – Odette/Odile in Swan Lake (Y. Grigorovich’s version) with the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre (Ufa) within the Rudolf Nureyev International Ballet Festival (Rustam Iskhakov as Prince Siegfried);
Nikia in La Bayadere (Y. Klevtsov’s version) at the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre within the Ballet Festival in honor of Ekaterina Maximova (Yasuomi Akimoto as Solor).

2016 – title part in Giselle (choreography by M. Petipa, staged by S. Pavlov) with Saratov Opera and Ballet Theatre in the framework of 29th Musical Sobinov Festival (Count Albrecht – Mikhail Lobukhin).

2018 – Odette/Odile in Swan Lake (choreography by M. Petipa, L. Ivanov, staged by B. Pech) with Teatro dell’Opera di Roma Ballet Company (Prince Siegfried – Semyon Chudin).

2019 – Phrygia in Spartacus (choreography by Y. Grigorovich) with NOVAT/ Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
