Marina Tregubovich (Soprano)

Marina Tregubovich was born into the family of the famous director Victor Tregubovich. She has been in movies since her childhood. Since the age of 17, she worked with the St Petersburg Musical Comedy Theatre. In 1993, she graduated from the St Petersburg State Conservatoire and the same year joined the Mikhailovsky Opera. In 2000–2002, she was a guest soloist with the Baden Theatre (Karlsruhe, Germany). In 2004–2008, she cooperated with Duke University. In 2006, she participated in a concert of the Indiana Conservatoire.

Marina Tregubovich joined the Mikhailovsky Opera in 1993. She performed Domna Saburova in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tsar’s Bride, the Cook in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tale of Tsar Saltan, Yaroslavna in Borodin’s Prince Igor, Countess Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto, the soprano part in Verdi’s Requiem, Ida and Rosalinde in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, Mercédès in Bizet’s Carmen, Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust, Silva in Kalman’s Silva, the Second Lady in Khrennikov’s Naked King (productions by Stanislav Gaudasinsky), Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème, and the Priest’s Daughter in Shostakovich’s Tale of the Priest and of His Workman Balda. She has also performed Domna Saburova in The Tsar’s Bride staged by Andrey Moguchy. She participated in the Mikhailovsky Opera Japan tours many times.

Nowadays, at the Mikhailovsky Theatre she performs leading soprano parts in the operas by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Pietro Mascagni, Antonín Dvořák, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Boris Asafiev.
