Christian Ott was born in 1968 in Nancy in France. He trained at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Paris. In 1990 he won 1^st prize at the International Organ Competition in Bordeaux. Christian Ott has a diploma as a specialist in organ performance and a master’s degree in music history. He performs the organ, harpsichord and harmonium. He is a staff organist at the Cathйdrale Saint-Louis de Versailles.
Since 1994 the musician has dedicated much of his time to teaching and performance. He teaches organ at the municipal conservatoires of the 13^th and 15^th arrondissements of Paris; performs recitals and in chamber concerts in France and abroad.
The musician composes works for organ as well as organ and harp duets. As an organist and harpsichord player Christian Ott collaborates with the harpist Isabelle Lagors. This duo – untypical in terms of both its makeup and repertoire – has recorded seven CDs.
