Valentin Bogdanov (Conductor)
Born in 1972, in 1989 he graduated from the Leningrad Capella Choir College
and in 1995 from the Petrozavodsk State Conservatory (the choir conducting
department). In 1996-1998, he held an assistantship at the Moscow State
Conservatory (opera and symphonic conducting). In 1997-2000, he worked at the
Magnitogorsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2000-2005, he was Principal Conductor
of the Karaganda Music Comedy Theatre and the Symphonic Orchestra of the
Karaganda Philharmonic Society. Since 2000 he has been Guest Conductor with the
Symphonic Orchestra of the Tomsk Philharmonic Society. In 2005-2008, he was
Principal Conductor of the Astrakhan State Music Theatre. Since 2008, he has
been Conductor of the St Petersburg Opera Theatre.
Since 2010 he has been Guest Conductor of the Mikhailovsky
Theatre.
